Starting Points should help most users find what they need quickly whether they are looking for information about TeX or interested in contributing to the wiki. One alternative - and the best starting point if you have a very specific query or cannot figure out which description fits best - is to Search. Another possibility - recommended for those interested in the structure of the wiki or familiar with key TeX terms - is to start by browsing the Categories.
Anybody interested in TeX should also be aware of the mailing lists available. These cover a wide variety of topics and are aimed at everybody from complete beginners to experts. If you are ever stuck and don't have a local TeX guru to hand - or you are the local TeX guru - these may be a good place to seek help. They can also be great places to pick up the sorts of tips which solve problems you didn't even know you had.
